What is a bid request?

A bid request is a request from SSP; it is sent to buyers (DSPs) and notifies them about available ad placement they can bid on. The bid request contains the digital characteristics of the users as well as necessary information about the ad placement. Thanks to the requested information, DSPs define if such an impression is relevant to the campaign and, if so, start bidding on it in a real-time bidding auction.
